A community for authoring Blu-ray, 4K/UHD and more!
Scenarist, LLC, the developer of Hollywood-standard authoring systems based in Marin County, California announced today the start of a “User Showcase” platform to promote success stories of Scenarist authors and facilities worldwide. The intention of the User Showcase is to promote and celebrate exciting titles by individual authors and facilities who have successfully transitioned from third-party systems to the Scenarist’s highly optimized authoring solutions. The User Showcase will enable authors and facilities everywhere to clearly see the true benefits of using Scenarist’s set of stable and professionally supported applications for professional title delivery.
“As an independent authoring facility, having the right tools on hand provides us with the confidence to deliver on even the most complex authoring projects for our customers. Scenarist BD has quickly proven that it can lower costs, reduce turnaround time and produce outstanding results on feature-rich titles,” said Steve Johnson, COO at Duplitech, Torrance, California. “Transitioning to the Scenarist Blu-ray authoring workflow has been a key factor in the continued growth of our authoring business.”
Scenarist authoring systems have been the standard for major content holders’ commercial releases on DVD, BD and Ultra HD Blu-ray starting in 1996. Since then, the systems have been consistently upgraded to meet the enhanced capabilities of new formats, the increase in title output, and the demand for more sophisticated titles. Even with the built-in convenience of content streaming, consumers still love physical disc as it remains the most consistent means of delivering permanently accessible and high-quality content free from dynamic bandwidth constraints or shows transitioning on and off streaming services.
“Packed media generates millions of dollars in revenue for content holders and an industry of authors and productions facilities worldwide, even so most authoring system developers have walked away from supporting their authoring tools; this makes no sense to us,” said Rob Aubey, Director of Application Engineering at Scenarist in Marin County California. “Scenarist has been serving this industry a long time, and it has been extremely gratifying to help new customers transition to Scenarist and watch how innovative and creative they can be with it. That’s what the User Showcase is all about.”
Scenarist will be regularly adding new titles going forward and Scenarist authors and facilities are invited to submit their titles for inclusion in the User Showcase.
