A community for authoring Blu-ray, 4K/UHD and more!

Greetings DoStudio Authoring users.

It has been several months now since the announcement of the discontinuation of the DSA and DSE applications by Sony Creative Software. While the announcement may have been a surprise to many, I appreciate your understanding of the situation and I have heard from many of you with kind words and ideas about what might be next for me.

I am very happy to announce that I have joined Scenarist, LLC as Director of Application Engineering for the Scenarist brand line of authoring applications. I have been involved in Blu-ray Disc development for many years and it is exciting to continue my journey with Scenarist’s outstanding group of software developers to drive the adoption of 4K and Ultra HD Blu-ray.  With 4K Ultra HD titles gaining ground quickly, I am thrilled to let you know that Scenarist is reaching out to the DoStudio community to enable and assist moving forward with upgrades to Ultra HD Blu-ray.

Shortly, I’ll be announcing plans and options for all DoStudio license holders to acquire versions of the Scenarist authoring applications so you’ll have special options to trade-up to Scenarist for BD and Ultra HD Blu-ray. It is my hope that this community of BD authoring experts can continue to thrive and provide assistance and encouragement to all as the BD authoring technology marches forward.

Please feel free to contact me with any thoughts or questions. I look forward to hearing from you, always.

Best regards,

Rob Aubey
Director of Application Engineering

Just a quick question, will it be possible to use dostudio in the future or are the linceses going to expire?
I am just using Dostudio for 1-4 projects per year, so I think an upgrade will not be lucrative for me and I am very happy with Dostudio as I know how to fix all kind of wierd errors I had in these three years.

Thank you =)

Hi Marc,  Yes, your DoStudio license will continue to be recognized by the Sony registration servers on going. You may also wish to read this web page.
